Supple, fruit-forward entry with a rounded, glyceric mouthfeel. Crisp, well-integrated acidity supports a medium-bodied palate with expressive tropical and floral mid-palate notes.

Pirineos Gewürztraminer White 2025 is a single-varietal white wine from Bodegas Pirineos, crafted in the heart of Denominación de Origen Somontano at the foot of the Spanish Pyrenees. Vineyards stretching between 400 and 800 metres in altitude, shaped by cold nights and warm days, create ideal conditions for the Gewürztraminer grape — a variety that has found its Spanish home in this unique Aragonese terroir.
Made entirely from Gewürztraminer grapes, this unoaked white is fermented at controlled low temperatures to lock in the variety's signature aromatic intensity. The approach is straightforward and purposeful: preserve freshness, amplify character. It is a philosophy that has earned Bodegas Pirineos a Bacchus de Oro award for this very wine — recognition that speaks to the quality and consistency across vintages.
The bouquet is immediately striking: an expressive, perfumed nose of fresh rose petals, white jasmine and delicate citrus zest, lifted by a distinctive spiced note of ginger that adds real complexity. On the palate, the mouthfeel is supple and fruit-forward, with a rounded, glyceric entry that gives way to a vibrant mid-palate and a long, lingering aromatic finish with excellent persistence. This is a wine built on charm and clarity — terroir-driven in the best sense of the word.
At the table, the wine's aromatic richness and refreshing structure make it a natural food-friendly companion: try it with fragrant rice dishes, soft-rind cheeses, lightly spiced Asian cuisine or delicate steamed fish with herbs. Whether you are looking to buy Pirineos Gewürztraminer online or simply discover a premium Spanish white with a distinctive aromatic profile, this 2025 vintage delivers genuine pleasure. The Winery
Founded in 1993
Bodegas Pirineos stands as one of the cornerstones of the Somontano Protected Designation of Origin, nestled in the heart of the Aragonese Pyrenees. Its history traces back to 1964, when the Cooperativa Comarcal de Somontano del Sobrarbe brought together the region's winegrowers and laid the foundations of what would become this prestigious appellation. The winery itself was formally established in 1993, inheriting that cooperative legacy and channelling it into a new era of winemaking excellence. In 2007, Grupo Barbadillo acquired 76% of its shares, integrating Bodegas Pirineos into one of Spain's most robust wine groups while preserving its deep-rooted connection to the land. Today, Bodegas Pirineos accounts for approximately 20% of total D.O. Somontano production, managing over 700 hectares of vineyards spread across 700 plots in 15 different villages, with more than 200 grape growers contributing to the project. This remarkable territorial presence allows the winery to work with both internationally renowned varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Gewürztraminer, and indigenous grapes of great enological value like Moristel, the emblematic variety that defines Somontano's singular identity. Among its most celebrated ranges are Señorío de Lazán, regarded as one of the founding wines of the region; Alquézar; Marboré; and the 3404 range, which includes a white from Chardonnay and Gewürztraminer, a rosé from Tempranillo and Cabernet, and a red and a crianza crafted from Cabernet, Merlot, Garnacha and Moristel with twelve months of barrel ageing. Its wines have earned top international recognition: Gold Medal at Mundus Vini 2020 for the 3404 Tinto, 90 points in the Guía Peñín 2021 for the Chardonnay and Gewürztraminer single-varietal whites, and Gold Medal at Chardonnays du Monde for the 2022 vintage. The winery also holds the RSA certification for Social Responsibility in Aragon, renewed annually since 2021, reflecting its firm commitment to sustainability and future generations.
