Maleante is a fruit-forward Malbec crafted by Bodega María Lorine Bombal, a family winery with over a century of winemaking history rooted in Lunlunta, within the Maipú Valley of Mendoza. Founded in 1892 by French-descended settlers who planted the first vines on this land, Bombal has evolved into a benchmark producer for authentic, terroir-driven Argentine wines. Buying Maleante Malbec online means bringing home a bottle shaped by generations of dedication to this extraordinary landscape.

Vinified in a youthful, unoaked style at 13.5% ABV, Maleante showcases the grape's natural expressiveness without the interference of heavy wood aging. High-altitude growing conditions in Mendoza — intense mountain sunlight combined with wide diurnal temperature shifts — allow the Malbec grapes to develop deep color, generous aromatics and a naturally balanced structure.

On the nose, this wine delivers a welcoming bouquet of ripe black plum, blackberry and subtle spice, hallmarks of classic Mendoza Malbec. The mouthfeel is smooth and approachable, with plush, fine-grained tannins that never grip aggressively. Crisp, well-integrated acidity lifts the mid-palate and keeps the wine lively and refreshing. The finish is clean, fruit-driven and inviting — the kind of wine that makes you reach for a second glass without hesitation.

Maleante's versatile, food-friendly profile pairs beautifully with grilled red meats, slow-braised lamb, hearty pasta dishes or a selection of aged cheeses. Its accessible character also makes it an excellent choice for casual entertaining, where quality and drinkability matter in equal measure.

For those looking to buy authentic Mendoza Malbec online with European delivery, Maleante from Bodega Bombal offers the soul of Argentina in every pour — generous, genuine and effortlessly enjoyable.

The Winery

Founded in 2014

Maleante is an Argentine wine project founded in 2014 with a clear and disruptive vision: to offer wines with a distinctive identity tailored for both by-the-glass service in restaurants and retail channels, always with an outstanding quality-to-price ratio. The project was born from the refurbishment of a historic boutique winery in Chacras de Coria, Mendoza, formerly known as 'La Misión', whose infrastructure dates back to the early twentieth century. The inaugural production yielded 12,000 bottles of a Bonarda blend from San Martín combined with Malbec from the Uco Valley — a modest yet promising start that quickly exceeded market expectations. The commercial success of those early vintages prompted the winery to reinvest in branding and packaging. In January 2016, Maleante launched its Malbec made from 100% Uco Valley grapes, strengthening its positioning within this emblematic Mendoza appellation. By the end of that same year, the winery redefined its portfolio with the release of the Terroir Series, a single-vineyard collection featuring Malbec from San José de Tupungato, Malbec from Vistaflores, and Cabernet Franc from Vistaflores, showcasing the diverse microclimates of the Uco Valley. Maleante's philosophy deliberately moves away from the classic stereotypes of traditional wine communication. The winery targets a younger, curious audience by combining genuine quality with a contemporary aesthetic and a bold brand attitude. Its current range includes Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Sauvignon Blanc, all terroir-driven and crafted from Uco Valley grapes — one of Argentina's most celebrated wine regions, renowned for high-altitude vineyards and significant diurnal temperature variation that lends elegance and freshness to the wines.
