Haton Rosé is a beautifully crafted rosé Champagne from the Jean-Noël Haton house, a family-run estate with deep roots in the Champagne region since 1928. Blending heritage with expressive winemaking, this cuvée stands as a compelling option for those seeking to buy premium rosé Champagne online from one of France's most storied appellations.

The blend draws equally from Champagne's classic triumvirate — Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay — with the distinctive salmon-rose hue achieved through the addition of approximately 10% still Pinot Noir red wine. True to tradition, the wine undergoes secondary fermentation in bottle via the méthode champenoise, followed by extended lees aging that lends it a characteristic creamy mouthfeel and added aromatic complexity. The chalky, bélemnite-rich soils of the region and its cool northern climate provide the backbone of freshness and fine minerality that define great Champagne.

On the nose, Haton Rosé opens with an inviting bouquet of ripe strawberry, raspberry and delicate floral tones, underpinned by subtle brioche and pastry notes that speak to its careful élaboration. On the palate, the mousse is refined and persistent, framing a lively, crisp acidity that gives the wine its hallmark energy. Red fruit flavours carry through the mid-palate alongside bright citrus inflections, while the finish is clean, lingering and gently mineral — a textbook expression of terroir-driven rosé Champagne at its most food-friendly.

Haton Rosé pairs effortlessly with a wide range of dishes: think smoked salmon blinis, fresh oysters, soft-rind cheeses, charcuterie platters or light canapés. It is equally at home as a standalone aperitif at special occasions. For lovers of best rosé Champagne from small Champagne houses, this is a bottle that delivers elegance without compromise. The Winery

Founded in 1928

Champagne Haton is one of the most deeply rooted family houses in the Champagne region, with viticultural origins dating back to 1610 when François Haton acquired the first parcels in Damery under the reign of Louis XIII. However, it was in 1928 that Octave Haton truly established the winery as a producing estate, beginning to vinify his own champagnes and setting the foundation for the house as we know it today. Under the stewardship of his heir René Haton, the house experienced a remarkable rise in the 1970s, and today it is Jean-Noël Haton and his son Sébastien — the third and fourth generations — who lead production across 60 hectares of vineyards, 45 of which are family-owned, spread across six emblematic villages in the Marne Valley: Damery, Hautvillers, Cumières, Boursault, Fleury la Rivière, and Vauciennes. The philosophy of the house follows the motto of founder Octave Haton: "Perfection requires mastery of every detail. It is the expression of the whole that makes an exceptional Champagne." Guided by this principle, Jean-Noël and Sébastien work with traditional and meticulous methods: respect for the soil, controlled yields, pursuit of optimal ripeness, and parcel-by-parcel vinification, always driven by a quest for excellence. Among their most celebrated cuvées is the Cuvée Classic, crafted from 60% Pinot Meunier and 40% Pinot Noir, offering aromas of red currant, stone fruits, and citrus; and the Cuvée Réserve, which blends all three Champagne varieties into a harmonious expression featuring white peach, orange blossom, and hazelnut. The range is completed by an elegant Blanc de Blancs from 100% Chardonnay, a Rosé, the Noble Vintage, and the Brut Intense Extra. Their Brut Reserve has earned 91 points from Wine Spectator, and the house has accumulated international recognition including silver medals at the Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships and the International Wine Challenge, firmly establishing Haton as a benchmark for timeless, characterful champagne.
